Common questions
Connecting your CGM
Dexcom — sign in with the email and password you use for your Dexcom account. FreeStyle Libre — sign in with your LibreLinkUp email and password. Both are stored securely so Trace can keep fetching your readings in the background. Nightscout and Zukka connections are also supported. See the full connection guide in the FAQ.
"No LibreLinkUp connections found"
Trace reads your glucose through LibreLink Up, Abbott's free companion app, so you need a LibreLink Up connection first. This applies whether you wear the sensor yourself or follow someone else's readings.
In your FreeStyle Libre app, open the menu (or Profile) and tap Connected Apps. Under LibreLink Up, tap Connect or Manage, then Add Connection, enter a name and an email address, and tap Add.
Next, install the LibreLink Up app, register with that same email, and accept the invitation. Once it is accepted, sign in to Trace with your LibreLink Up email and password.
How your CGM password is stored
If you connect via Dexcom or LibreLinkUp, your password is encrypted (AES-GCM) before storage so Trace can retrieve readings on your behalf, including when the app isn't open. You can remove stored credentials at any time from Settings. Details in the FAQ.

Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Requests are processed within 30 days — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
